Function of the Formula:

Clears internal yang ming heat, raises yang to stop diarrhea, releases the exterior

Symptoms that are indicated for this formula:

Fever, sweating, thirst, burning sensation in the anus, tenesmus, dysenteric diarrhea, irritability, heat in chest and epigastrium, dry mouth, foul smelling stools

Tongue:  red, yellow, greasy
