Da Chai Hu Tang (Major Bupleurum Decoction) – For Both Men and Women

Function of the Formula:

Harmonize the Shao Yang, Drain Internal heat from Liver and Gallbladder, Soothe the Liver

Symptoms that are indicated for this formula:

Alternating chills and fever, fullness in the chest and costal region, nausea, vomiting, headache, irritability, manic behavior, asthma, red eyes,  constipation, diarrhea, abdominal or epigastric pain, bitter taste in the mouth,

Tongue: yellow, red

Pulse:  wiry, forceful

$44 US dollars for 200 grams of powder (A typical daily dose is between 5 and 15 grams or 1-3 teaspoons).  200 grams is the equivalent of 400 – 500mg capsules.  Formula should be taken in two equally divided doses throughout the day and is mixed with water or juice and swallowed.
