Function of the Formula:

Regulates Qi, descends rebellious qi, eliminates phlegm, dissipates clumps (Liver qi stagnation with phlegm)

Symptoms that are indicated for this formula:

Plum pit qi – a feeling as if something is stuck in the throat but cant be swallowed or coughed up, pain in the sides, difficulty swallowing, chest oppression, sighing, melancholy, depression, bloating, nausea, vomiting, emotional upset – anger, palpitations, irritable, insomnia, irregular menses, dysmenorrheal, breast distention and pain, edema

Tongue:  pink, moist, greasy

Pulse: slippery, wiry
