Chai Hu Gui Zhi Tang (Bupleurum and Cinnamon Twig Decoction) – For Both Men and Women

Function of the Formula:

Harmonize the Shao Yang, Liver, Intestines and Spleen, release the exterior and muscle layer, disperse water accumulation

Symptoms that are indicated for this formula:

Abdominal pain, constipation, nausea, irritability, heaviness in head, fever, severe chills, fatigue, loss of spinal alignment, insomnia, chest distention, costal tenderness, vomiting, joint pain with cracking sensation,

Tongue:  pink

Pulse: floating, wiry

Formula Cost:

$50 US dollars for 200 grams of powder (A typical daily dose is between 5 and 15 grams or 1-3 teaspoons).  200 grams is the equivalent of 400 – 500mg capsules.  Formula should be taken in two equally divided doses throughout the day and is mixed with water or juice and swallowed.
