Bu Yang Huan Wu Tang (Astragalus and Peony / Great Yang Restoration) – For Both Men and Women

Function of the Formula:

Tonify Qi, invigorate the blood, unblock the channels, promote movement in limbs (sequelae of wind-stroke, qi and yang deficiency with blood stasis, wind phlegm, wei syndrome)

Symptoms that are indicated for this formula:

Paralysis, hemiplegia, deviation of mouth and eyes, atrophy of lower limbs, drooling, slurred speech, weakness and wasting, excessive salivation, frequent urination, low back pain, cold intolerance, dry stools, urinary incontinence, fatigue

Tongue:  white

Pulse: moderate, thready

Formula Cost:

$58 US dollars for 200 grams of powder (A typical daily dose is between 5 and 15 grams or 1-3 teaspoons).  200 grams is the equivalent of 400 – 500mg capsules.  Formula should be taken in two equally divided doses throughout the day and is mixed with water or juice and swallowed.
